Audio Trimmer Online

Upload or record audio, drag the waveform handles around the part you want to keep, preview the selection, and download a separate MP3 clip.

Your audio is processed locally in this browser. The trimmer does not upload the source file or change the original.

Cut Audio for Music, Video, and Voice Workflows

This browser audio trimmer keeps one selected region and exports it as a new MP3. The audio trimmer is focused on quick clip preparation, not multitrack editing or effects.

Hooks, riffs, and vocal ideas

Cut a memorable hook, guitar riff, vocal phrase, drum break, or melodic idea from a longer recording. The audio trimmer waveform makes it easier to find the useful region before you move the clip into a sampler, MIDI workflow, remix draft, or arrangement session.

Clean starts and endings

Remove silence, count-ins, room noise, spoken setup, or an overly long tail from the beginning or end of a file. The audio trimmer creates a separate result, so you can compare the cleaned clip with the untouched original.

Upload or record in one place

Start the audio trimmer with an existing file or capture a short idea from your microphone. Recording is useful for voice notes, melody sketches, podcast pickups, and quick musical references that need a cleaner start and finish.

Precise waveform selection

Drag the audio trimmer’s left and right handles to define the exact section you want to keep. Visible start and end times help you prepare clips for a video timeline, a loop experiment, an audio-to-MIDI conversion, or a focused listening reference.

Private browser processing

The audio trimmer decodes, trims, and encodes MP3 locally in the current browser session. The source file is not sent through the normal server upload workflow, and closing or reloading the page clears the temporary browser state.

Honest MP3 output

The current audio trimmer exports one 128 kbps MP3 file. The audio trimmer does not promise lossless output, format conversion choices, fades, joining, crossfades, noise removal, or mastering. Use a full editor when those controls are important.

How to Trim Audio Online

Choose a source in the audio trimmer, mark the portion to keep, check it, and download the new clip. Your original file remains unchanged throughout the process.

Step 1

Upload or record audio

Drop a supported file into the audio trimmer, choose it from your device, or switch to Record and capture a new idea. Files must be at least 3 seconds long. Browser codec support can vary, so a supported extension may still need a different encoding if decoding fails.

Step 2

Choose the section to keep

Use the audio trimmer waveform handles to set the start and end of the clip. The kept selection must be between 3 seconds and 8 minutes. Click inside the selected region or move the playback marker to inspect a particular moment.

Step 3

Preview the selected audio

Press Play in the audio trimmer to hear the selection before export. Adjust either handle until the clip starts cleanly, includes the complete phrase or beat you need, and ends without cutting off a word, note, reverb tail, or podcast sentence.

Step 4

Trim and download the MP3

Choose Trim & Download MP3. The audio trimmer decodes the source, keeps only the selected samples, encodes a 128 kbps MP3, and downloads it with “trimmed” added to the file name. You can download the result again without repeating the trim.
